There's powder at Blackcomb! 24cm so far with more precip in the forecast on Friday. There seems to be a warming trend that wasn't in the forecast earlier in the week so you might be looking at BC powder on Friday. Highs are supposed to be pushing 10C for Whistler.

The last time I said that we weren't likely to get any more powder this season we were hit with the most amazing late April storm that I've ever seen. 50cm at Sunshine in one day. I doubt it will work again but what the hell. There is absolutely zero chance of any more powder this season. Forget it. It's not going to snow. Break out the golf clubs, mountain bikes and running shoes. From here on in spring slush is all you will find in the mountains. There... let's see how that goes.

Sunshine is in the midst of receiving their biggest storm accumulation in years. 50cm by 2:30 Friday afternoon with more on the way. This is huge. If you don't get to get to Sunshine first thing in the morning you better be in jail. And if your in jail... BREEEAK OOOOUT! (OK I stole that from The Simpsons HAHA!)

Just when you think it's all over guess who comes through with a big powder day? Lake Louise was reporting 21cm this morning and I wish I could have been there to enjoy it. Sunshine and Whistler both got 7cm overnight but the best turns by far were at the Lake. We may not be done just yet.

OK. It's April so the odds of finding powder are pretty slim. With temperatures in the teens this weekend the odds are actually zero. So go ski anywhere and have fun. The snow will be fantastic this weekend.
